Dr BR Ambedkar Social Science University has been established by Madhya Pradesh Government. The first social science university in the country has been established by Dr BR Ambedkar Social Science University Act 2015, at Mhow (Indore), the birthplace of Dr Ambedkar. The main aim of the school is to ensure the social upliftment of the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes and Social Justice, economic empowerment and development, academic excellence and skill development and the determination of these sections and greater participation in nation building.

    With the economic empowerment of the weak sections of the university, capacity building and entrepreneurship development, welfare economic policy and policy reform, law social justice, social dignity and equality of opportunities, ideological expression of prayer and protection of human rights, environmental studies, education, agricultural development , Conservation of water and other natural resources, ecological harmony and rivers and connect their small-large river and drains, The improvement in agricultural land, technical and rural craft and rural industrialization, international understanding for national construction and foreign policy and scientific initiatives are employed.

     The aim of the University is to ensure participation in nation-building by establishing social uplift, economic empowerment, academic excellence, and equal society through more participation of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes in financial engagement and decision making process. The University is going to set up social science centres in all the districts of Madhya Pradesh, around the residences of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes, to fulfil all above mission and purpose. In accordance with the objectives of the University, according to the vision letter 2018 of Madhya Pradesh, the sequence of 'Development of suitable opportunities for the disadvantaged sections of society for inclusive development' Under the leadership of the Chief Minister's Community Leadership Capacity Development Program, as well as introduction of Innovation Courses at the Post Graduate, MPhil and PhD level of the community development subjects, the social sciences centres of the University are being implemented in all 51 districts of Madhya Pradesh and social based research projects with social sector departments of the government will be given priority by the faculty and researchers of the university, which will make 'inclusive growth from community development' possible.
